Thank God For Empty Suits

I can’t help but think that a large part of the vitriol that we have seen from the Left and the Media (but I repeat myself) these past few weeks has arisen due to their discovery that what a lot of us have been saying since 2008: Barack Obama is an empty suit, a projection of what they wanted and hoped for in a candidate but fundamentally composed of, well, not much that can be counted upon for actual leadership when the chips are down.

Sure I could point to the cipher of his college years, the lack of any work experience, the 70+ and counting golfing trips, the numerous jaunts around the globe toting his entire familial entourage at our expense, but what once again brought this out to me was his little speech on Sunday night wherein he said

Now, is this the deal I would have preferred? No. I believe that we could have made the tough choices required — on entitlement reform and tax reform — right now, rather than through a special congressional committee process.

He “believed we could have made the tough choices required on entitlement reform right now.”

Oh really.

Tough choices which he outlined…where, exactly?

Tough choices where he stood up to the special interests…where, exactly?

As the old Wendy’s ad said

And you know what? I’m pretty glad he is what he is. Were he actually focused on anything other than garnering praise for himself and getting tee-times he could have rammed through one hell of a lot of stuff in his first two years when the Dems controlled both Houses of Congress. He had everything on his side.

As it is his dithering spend-first-question-never nature certainly accelerated our bankruptcy, but in a perverse way that may have awoken enough folks that we might have a shot at staving it off.

Obama had a chance to do a lot more damage to our Republic than he has, and he missed it.

And the “Progressives” know it.

He is worse than an empty suit, this emperor has no clothes and he’s a douche bag. I could go on…

  2. JeffS says:

The lefties have too much invested in Odouchebag for them to just dump him, or to really pressure the clown into just to STFU. Never mind the overt racism and cynicism in such a move, they would be admitting FAILURE.

And the lefties will not admit failure, especially on this scale. Just look at the collapse of the Soviet Union; 20+ years later, and they STILL won’t admit that the USSR died because of the failure of communism and socialism.

Nope, ain’t gonna happen. Not even if the Republic is ground to dust because of Odouchebag.

The way I recall it, he did ram through a lot in his first two years. The health care curse was enough.

  4. Winston Smith says:

We’re looking at the same scenario here in Australia – the intent being to drive the economy into the ground, but due to not knowing how the economy worked, they couldn’t do it.
To sabotage something effectively, you have to know how it works.

The only thing we know is what brain-dead retarded scumbags you are! Proving my point once again that anyone who calls Obama an “empty suit” is a racist scumbag!
