The Worst-Case Scenario

I’ve been mulling this post over for a few days. It was linked to in Ace’s news sidebar a few days ago, and it’s a very sobering read. Now, the site where it was posted is, from what I can tell, one that leans towards the “peak oil” point of view and seems generally to be in favor of aggressive moves away from oil use so I’d keep that in mind when reading this

First of all…set aside all your thoughts of plugging the well and stopping it from blowing out oil using any method from the top down. Plugs, big valves to just shut it off, pinching the pipe closed, installing a new bop or lmrp, shooting any epoxy in it, top kills with mud etc etc etc….forget that, it won’t be happening..it’s done and over. In fact actually opening up the well at the subsea source and allowing it to gush more is not only exactly what has happened, it was probably necessary, or so they think anyway.

So you have to ask WHY? Why make it worse?…there really can only be one answer and that answer does not bode well for all of us. It’s really an inescapable conclusion at this point, unless you want to believe that every Oil and Gas professional involved suddenly just forgot everything they know or woke up one morning and drank a few big cups of stupid and got assigned to directing the response to this catastrophe. Nothing makes sense unless you take this into account, but after you do…you will see the “sense” behind what has happened and what is happening. That conclusion is this:

The well bore structure is compromised “Down hole”.

Carefully read the whole thing for all the author feels that this entails…and why it’s a really really bad thing.

Again, I think this site leans towards making it as bad as it can possibly be, but I think we need to know what exactly that is.

And pray that he’s wrong.

    “jinx”.

It’s the only thing I’ve seen that makes any sense of the inaction to “plug the damn hole.” If this is really the case, and it seems like the dots are connecting more and more here, why aren’t they fessing up?

Because we couldn’t possibly understand, dolts that we are.

Well if it can’t be stopped how about making the best of a bad situation? Isn’t there some way of putting down a catchment and slurping up the oil coming out, bringing it up, then separating the oil from the water? That’s more or less what the skimmers do.

I believe that peak oil is true and that we are now past the point of the oil crash. I understand many of the current events have to do with this senerio and it won’t be long until the msm and population wake up and understand what is going on. For me and my family, we are getting ready for the next era.
