There Are No Words For How I Feel

(moved here because the auto-play was driving me nuts)

We were just in that exact spot over the weekend, walking around, looking at the marathon tents and other various preparations at the finish line, joking about the HazMat trucks there and saying if I ran one again I would need one, feeling the energy and buzz of all these people zipping about in their running attire as they prepared for the race. The excitement. The joy.

Such bastards who did this.

Try to remember it that way. That was the real Marathon.

It’s interesting which way the yellow is going, and which way the day-glo-green-yellow is going.

Once again, I bow to the bravery of our first responders.

And the few others that were running to and not from.

Couldn’t watch this till now. So, I’ll add – where did the military come from? (Also running in the right direction to help, of course.) Good they were there.

  5. Greg Newsom says:

I noticed those two military guys. They were taking care of
business right away. The cops looked in shock, and like prizefighters taking a standing 8 count, out on their feet.
Thank God, someone knew what to do.

Kathy, I was watching a lot of the marathon itself and there were many many military folks walking along the entire course.
