Today’s Math Problems Brought to You

…via my Twitter favorites. First, there’s Jonah’s column on teh dick’s Present’s bullshit laden factually challenged speechifyin’ teh other day.

…More broadly, no one threw a flag on his claim that “every single observer who’s not an elected official, who’s not a politician,” agrees with him on the burning need to raise taxes as part of any budget deal. This is a good example of Obama’s most grating tic, his need to claim that all reasonable and serious people agree with him and anyone who disagrees must be doing so for base or ideological motives.

No one queried why he talks about the need to raise taxes on “millionaires and billionaires” but the fine print of his proposals defines millionaires and billionaires as people who make $200,000 a year as individuals or $250,000 as joint-filing couples. Jay Duckson at Central Business Jets tells the Wall Street Journal that the starting price for a private jet is $10 million dollars. Annual upkeep and fuel is about $500,000. You do the math.

This points to what is most offensive about Obama’s focus-grouped class-warfare rhetoric: the total incoherence of the underlying policies.

Jonah goes on to point out that Captain Kickasstic was at an Alcoa factory to tout his jobs o’ the future vision, but ~ in the spirit of meeting living Medal of Honor winners who are really MOSTLY dead ~ this wasn’t any old aluminum FOIL factory.

Oh, no.

…The factory Obama visited, however, isn’t a generic aluminum plant. It is, according to Alcoa, the “premier aerospace supply plant and is today the hub of Alcoa’s $3 billion aerospace business.

It’s aluminum that FLIES…like…in corporate JETS and just dang awkward shit like that.

As if THAT wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, I’ve got something ~ a subtraction problem ~ set against a red, white and blue background that’ll get your patriotic fervor raging at an E.P.I.C clip. And I do mean epic.

YOUR president. Once again. Speaking publicly (imagine that).

About how he has…FIVE AND A HALF YEARS LEFT.

A confident President Obama said he understood that people are frustrated and he has yet to get “everything done,” however he said this was only the beginning. “It’s only been two and a half years. I got five and a half years more to go,” Obama said at a fundraiser in Philadelphia on Thursday night.

I know your mouth just went dry. It’s kinda like a TicTac, no?

Obama is a preening, arrogant, self-aggrandizing, narcissistic jerk, but that shows a sense of entitlement even a six year old spoiled brat lacks.

It’s going to be a very bitter, dirty, ugly Presidential election in 2012. Obama won’t leave the White House easily. I don’t think we’ve seen even the start of the worse of it.
