   Washington is a vote-by-mail state; I sent my ballot in a couple of weeks ago.

   Yeah, I voted early so I could vote often. I went to Bingsterballots.com for some “extra” ballots without much success.

    My precinct went 2-1 for Obama two years ago and that was not that unusual of a ratio. When I voted at 2:00 that day in 2008 my ballot was #1427 tabulated. Today, at the same time of day, my vote was #826. Turnout is way down in this heavily Democrat district. It probably won’t make much of a difference locally, but I think it’s a bad sign for Democrats in the statewide races.

    That was one of the easiest times I’ve had voting in years. And the Dem who hands out ballots outside my polling place was surprisingly subdued today. Maybe he was cold.
