What Difference Does It Make…

…that there were 30+ CIA operatives on the ground in Benghazi

What kind of panic are we talking about here? Actual quote from agency “insider” communications obtained by CNN: “You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.”

The word of the day is “unprecedented.” Phony scandal no more:

Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings…

It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career…

Hillary’s Benghazi operation certainly ended Chris Stevens’ career.

Just what the hell was going on there?

I’m trying to weigh the difference between losing one’s career and losing one’s life. Doesn’t seem to balance.

Courage counts outside the battlefield, too.

  2. Mr. Bingley says:

It is very sad to say this, but it seems that in our government that “courage” is only a virtue when used in opposition to policies proposed by people who have “R”s after their name.

  3. JeffS says:

There’s speculation that the CIA was shipping arms to Syria, through hardcore jihadists. Including surface-to-air missiles.

Arming our enemies with the sort of weapons they’d love to turn on the west? And be effective in doing so? Yeah, that would be something to keep secret.

  4. marymary says:

There’s also speculation that this is being leaked to help Hillary by putting the CIA – not State dept – in the hot seat.

I hate how believable that is to me.

  5. Mr. Bingley says:

That would explain the appearance of the (barf) bill and monica sextape.

    Dont piss off the spooks.

  6. JeffS says:

Ugh. The internal strife is only getting worse. Escalation is not our friend.

  7. Michael Lonie says:

There were over two dozen spooks there and for seven hours only three men were defending the place? Are spooks now sent into the back alleys of the world unarmed? If they were smuggling arms out, why couldn’t they break out a few AK-47s from the shipping boxes and do a little attitude adjustment among the swine attacking the “consulate?”

Every new revelation about the CIA makes it ever more plausible that it is actually, as the old joke dating back to the OSS goes, a cover story for a real intel organization (Bureau of Weights and Measures Field Operations Division, perhaps).

  8. Greg Newsom says:

I think the world has gone insane. The 24 hour a day bombardment of political correctness and fake one-world “let’s all hold hands and praise the world created by
the no truth fake intellectuals” has finally come home to roost.
Our cities are doomed , our industry is gone, and there is no hope.Wal Mart and Apple controls our nation.

Another scary-plausible theory: whatever it was, it was (and remains) so titanically awful that it would destroy Obama’s presidency at once, regardless of media flacking and voter apathy.

I would actually consider this dreadful possibility, except that all the scandals that already should have blown up this failed administration have been successfully deflected by the legions of cultists clinging to the Empty Chair’s armrests.
