Where Was This Chris Christie 3 Months Ago?
He’d have this thing sewn up by now
Chris Christie, New Jersey’s Republican nominee for governor, said Thursday that Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine should quit hinting at his weight with unflattering ads and “man up and say I’m fat.”
…Imus later joked that even though many of New Jersey voters are overweight, Christie should be setting a better example.
“I am setting an example Don,” Christie responded. “We have to spur our economy. Dunkin Donuts, International House of Pancakes, those people need to work too.”
This Tuesday, Kids.
Didn’t we say that about Bob Dole after the post-loss Doritos commercial? Think these doofusses would learn.
“Liddy, hand me the Viagra”
His delivery was a little wooden in that spot.
Let’s not be too hard on fat Republicans.
I can’t believe you might re-elect that guy. I know you have six or seven hundred thousand more dems but even they must be able to see what the effects of tax and spend do. How much business and high networth flight do they have to see before they get with the program?
Believe it, Yojimbo. This is Jersey, where vote fraud was invented, refined and continually updated. F’rinstance:
The machines bring buses to urban train stations and housing projects. Guys hand $10 to people to get on the bus and vote D.
Alzheimers patients at nursing homes sign absentee ballots alphabetically in the same handwriting to vote D.
Just to make sure, thousands residents in the potter’s cemeteries in Hudson County demand, and get, the right to vote.
There’s no way the heavily Republican suburbs can compete with that.
PS. Jersey loses an average 1,100 people a day, nearly all taxpayers and employers. Nearly half the population receives some form of welfare (tax or housing subsidies, food stamps, etc., etc.) and they’re all Democrats. They couldn’t care less that the golden goose is dying; all they know is that the machine takes care of them as long as they vote the party line.
You know what they say,” it’s
not justice it’s just us”
the people running this system
don’t have a clue of what to do.
Their answer is to recycle plastic bottles and make sure the government pays 90 percent
of their salary the rest of their lives when they turn 55.
To be serious: who gives a flying **** whether a politician “sets a good example” or not by not being fat? Or exercising. Or whatever the hell. A “good example” is not being a tax cheat. A “good example” is not committing a crime and weaseling out of it because your family has power. It has NOTHING to do with what jeans size you wear.
This is just nanny-statism again: “You can’t possibly be a good leader because you’re FAT.” Ugh.
