UPDATE: Breitbart has stolen the show. It appears he has a full monty of Weiner and is holding it back in lieu of an apology from Weiner for casting him as a liar and a hacker.
He was there for a book tour, heard about the presser and wandered in. When he did, apparently reporters on the scene asked him to say a few words and answer a couple questions. breitbart was MORE than happy to.
HO-LEE SCHMOKES.
PLUS, Weiner’s staff is saying ~ I WAS RIGHT ~ he is NOT resigning. HAH!

UPDATE ~ “Oh, WELL, THAT’S UNFORTUNATE”: Apparently Nancy doesn’t “LOVE” Weiner quite as much as he thought she did when they asked him what she’d said at his presser.
But after his news conference, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced that she was calling for a House ethics committee probe into whether government resources had been mishandled.
“I am calling for an Ethics Committee investigation to determine whether any official resources were used or any other violation of House rules occurred,” Pelosi said.

He’s moved the press event to Nathan’s on Coney Island.
How can the presser be at Eastern STANDARD Time? We crossed over into Daylight Savings Time weeks ago.

There’s some leeway in Federal policy for using official phones and computers for personal communications. With emphasis on “SOME”.
But what I’m reading here would — at the very least — get someone formally reprimanded. Were that person not a Congresscritter, apparently.
And Pelosi learned one lesson from Obama very well indeed: Do not hesitate to throw potential liabilities under the bus.
