Kids today have too much money and nothing better to do.

I read about this kid. Incredibly STOOOOOPID!!!
On the plus side, he got home safe.
And he’s a first hand witness to the war. It ain’t proof positive, but if a naive American teenager can get into Iraq, and out again, things are calming down there.
I’ll bet the soldiers reamed his a$$ but good.

  2. Mr. Bingley says:

I hope they send his parents the bill.

  3. Cindermutha says:

If he was my kid, he’d be grounded for the rest of his natural life.
But then, if you read what he wrote, he did label the terrorists as evil.

    “Farris Hassan’s Week Off”…

  5. Mr. Bingley says:

Oh Rats. Florida Cracker, as always, beats me to all the good jokes!
    And the good quotes, too:
“He knows the ass-whoopin he’s going to get.”

  6. Lisa says:

His mother, however, sees things differently. “I don’t think I will ever leave him in the house alone again,” she said. “He showed a lack of judgment.”
Translated: I’m kicking his ass DAILY for the rest of his natural life.

  7. Crusader says:

Shoot, I don’t have to worry about that, as neither of our sons will have an extra $900+ to buy the tickets with.

  8. Mr. Bingley says:

I really don’t think they could pass as Iraq natives, either.
    But that’s just my opinion.

  9. Thank you for addressing my real question. Where does a 16 year old, no matter how well intentioned, get the bucks to jaunt off and save the world? On my meager 16 yr old income, I barely had enough to put petrol in the ’67 Fairlane, less mind hie thee hither to a war zone.

I really don’t think they could pass as Iraq natives, either.

But they all have curly blonde hair and blue eyes over there, don’t they?

  11. Crazy Kid Answers Justice’s Call For Help

A Fort Lauderdale boy, Farris Hassan, had a yen for some independent “immersion journalism” in Iraq. So, using his own money, and without telling anyone, he took off and went. Farris is now staying at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad…
