   I used to watch that show (Takeshi’s Castle) when I was stationed in Japan (1987-1989) and I can tell you that what was shown on American TV was a pale mockery of the original.

   If you can find copies of the originals watch them and don’t worry about sub titles or dubbing, for they are not needed.
