I Beg Your Pardon, I Never Promised You…
except, well I guess he did kinda sorta promise
Remember President Obama’s supposedly inviolable pledge—repeatedly uttered during the 2008 campaign and at countless town meetings since the inauguration—that he would never raise taxes on middle-class citizens who earn $250,000 a year or less?
This morning at a Manhattan breakfast sponsored by Thomson Reuters, White House Budget Director Peter Orszag threw that pledge out the window. Instead, he described Obama’s “read my lips, no new taxes” pledge as a “stance” and a “preference” that is subject to study by the president’s newly-formed bipartisan Commission on Fiscal Responsibility.
As the saying goes: how can you tell when a politician is lying? His lips are moving.

He’s a commie, and commies live to lie and steal. I often wonder if it’s genetic.
He’s a dick too.
Obama is indeed a dick, but that’s learned behavior (probably from his time as a “community organizer”), not genetic.
I admit, Obama definitely lied about this.

And it’s not even done gracefully, don. I mean, he could have had Orszag say something like “I know that’s what I promised and my most earnest wish is to have been able to keep that promise but I have a deeper promise to the American people and now that we’ve found that the economic situation we inherited was worse than we had initially feared I see no choice but to do very reluctantly…” and so on. That would have given his supporters something to hang their hats on.
But instead it seems they just figured we’re too stupid to remember what he said less than two years ago.
So, which part of “he’s a lying crook!” was unclear again?
Each passing day brings a new affront. He’s pushing the tolerance envelope.
The idiot-in-chief is convinced that he’s bullet proof so he doesn’t even try to be diplomatic to the people (whom he probably despises anyway).
The people better send him a clear message this November or this Republic will be in grave danger of collapse.
His being a dick IS genetic and goes back at least as far as high-school, “King Barak” indeed, typical stoner. It’s learned behavior to NOT be a dick.
