So, how was it?
I’ve heard of shrimp brewed in beer, but beer brewed with oysters sounds pretty wild.
Beer and oysters go great together one after the other but I’m not sure I’d like them going down together at the same time out of the same bottle … not that I wouldn’t try that. I most certainly would. Normally, I prefer ice cold beer and ice cold oysters on the half shell. So, how was it?
Whenever I think of beer,I think of oysters-Not!
beer and oysters kinda go together like ice cream and
pizza.Good once in a blue moon.Peanuts would be better, and cheaper.
Interesting brew.
Should Heineken be worried?
It was very tasty. It was very smooth and rich with some lurverly chocolate flavors. I’m going to get some more of this. But it’s a heavy beer…and it comes in a conveniently large bottle.
Don, it’s just a completely different critter from a Heineken (and I have to say I don’t like Heineken all that much; it’s got too perfumey a flavor for me). Heinies are summer beers; this is a hearty winter brew.
Oh, and I couldn’t taste anything that reminded me of oysters.
I’d better buy some more and conduct further experiments…
Yeah, the name is immediately a put-off to me, but if you say there’s no fishy flavors, I might be willing to try it out. I’m a heavy beer fan.
