Will they have to round up folks off the streets and kids out of the cafeteria to fill seats? (Although, as well as his lazer-like re-re-focusing on jobs is going, there should be PLENTY of idle bodies lolling about unemployment lines who need a break for a couple hours.)
Obama’s bus trip could hit potholes
…White House staffers also say taking a bus will give Obama a chance to visit smaller communities than he could on a more conventional presidential sojourn.
“The president looks very much forward to getting out in the country — he’s obviously spent a lot of time here in Washington and in the White House of late — and to hearing from Americans, in the Midwest … about what’s going on in their local economies, what they think Washington can and should do to enhance economic growth, enhance job creation in their parts of the country,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “And that’s what this trip will be about.”
But there’s always the possibility the message falls flat on a population grown weary of prosperity-just-around-the-corner pronouncements.
And the optics could be a little jarring, too. When Obama was a candidate for U.S. Senate or the White House, it was easy for him to move around on the back roads without causing much of a fuss. The logistics of his mid-August trip are a lot more complicated, involving dozens of security personnel, road blockages and escort vehicles. Moreover, he will fly in on Air Force One —
…and then depart on it for his long-awaited family vacation in the decidedly un-regular guy locale of Martha’s Vineyard.
“Long-awaited”? Poor long suffering President needs a vacay from the terrorists.

A bus trip? Like Sarah Palin did? Obambi must be getting desperate if he’s stooping to riding a mere bus.
Yes he’s spent so much time in DC lately…except when he’s been golfing or at fundraisers.
There are plenty of Chinese bus drivers looking for work these days. Just sayin’.
Think anyone will flip him off as he goes by?
It’s not the bus trip that bugs me, but that someone bought him a return ticket.
Major Dad, one can hope. If he comes through here (possible, we have two golf courses), I’ll see what can be done.
