Obama’s HHS: ‘Children Are Sexual Beings’
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is offering advice to parents and teens about sex education, including assurances that teens may “experiment” with homosexuality as part of “exploring their own sexuality,” and that masturbation should be of concern only “if a child seems preoccupied with it to the exclusion of other activities.”
The information, located on a “Questions and Answers About Sex” link on the “Quick Guide to Healthy Living” portion of the HHS Web site, also describes children and infants as “sexual beings.”
Under the question “When Do Kids Start Becoming Curious About Sex?” the answer notes that infants have curiosity about their bodies.
“Children are human beings and therefore sexual beings,” the Q&A Web page says. “It’s hard for parents to acknowledge this, just as it’s hard for kids to think of their parents as sexually active. But even infants have curiosity about their own bodies, which is healthy and normal.”
As for masturbation and “what sort of ‘sexual’ behavior do young kids exhibit?” the page says, “Parents should only be concerned about masturbation if a child seems preoccupied with it to the exclusion of other activities. Victims of sexual abuse sometimes become preoccupied with self-stimulation.”

“Well, shoot, alright then. Kindergarteners will be kindergarteners. It’s a normal part of growing up. Just make sure he washes his hands.”

This is what you call projection. They do it so everybody else must, too. Pervs.
What exactly do liberals have against children just being children?
It’s not projection and it’s not about stopping them from being children.
I recently read a book about North Korea, “Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader.” It’s a horrifying and extremely in depth look at how the Kim il Sung took over that country.
One of the things he did once he got to the head of the government was to offer to take care of the war orphans and raise them all in orphanages as though they were his own children. There were a lot of war orphans after the Japanese were through and he took this as an opportunity to control an entire generation and teach them to think of him as their father.
What these progressives are doing is not on that scale, because we will not yet put up with that, but along the same mindset. The more they can use government schools to teach your children to stop believing in what their parents teach them, the more they can hold sway over them in the future. Government has no business teaching children anything about such personal, indeed religious, values. This is nothing less than an attempt to wreck those values and destroy the influence of parents so that they can teach a new generation in a way they can best control.
