Yesterday at Johnson Beach, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Perdido Key

Courtesy of Tropical Storm Lee. It was a “two red flag day” at the beach.

It was a rough day for flags.

Nothing about the surf said, “Come on in!” either.

(Of course, morons did. Tragically.)

We got beat up royally by the wind today the worst of all days, with gusts over 60 mph, but the rain finally called it a weekend. We’re ordering pizza.

So much for those ribs I had my heart set on.

What, no order out ribs in Bangacola? 🙂

Glad to here y’all came through without many problems.

Better to have a dry pizza indoors than watch your BBQ (or the chef) blow away, I guess. I hope you get some make-up ribs soon, THS!

I spent Saturday eve and Sunday afternoon evening at Pcola Beach. It got kind of hairy at times, but all worked out okay in the end. Except that $100 taxi fare back to Milton at 2 a.m. WTH?

    That is all.

So does major dad, kate. I’m not very gracious when I’m foiled in my wishes. That’s true, currently and the lovely thing was the WAY we got the rain. In bands that never really swamped anything. The first two days had time to soak in and that was GREAT.

Glad to see your trees made it through the soaking rain and high winds.
