Depends What Your Definition of “Desecration” Is
A comment on another blog considering the Marines tinkling on turbans got me pondering.
Didn’t the Commander-in-Chief himself condone and direct the desecration of Osama Bin Laden’s vile bones by consigning him to the briny deep, vice 6 feet under terra firma?
Well, didn’t he?

I agree. He did.
Isn’t this business with the Marines perhaps just a big misunderstanding, a case of something getting lost in translation? I’ve read a little in Islamic literature and history, and they’re always saying of some notable or other, “Peace be on him…”
Couple that with the old hippie saying of “Peace Out” and you may be on to something. Just an unsuccessful attempt at hands reaching over the cultural divide. I feel better about this already.

Strictly speaking, it’s a keffiyeh not a turban. The number of muslims that wear turbans is miniscule, a turban is more of a Sikh thing.
The only problem I have with the video is…why inna hell do these idiots have video recording equipment on patrol??? Do they not understand OPSEC???
