A TV Scheduling Note: Excuse Me a Moment While I…

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay. Better now.

Stephen Hawking to cameo on ‘Big Bang Theory’

A geek dream finally fulfilled!

…Hawking’s cameo will air the week after Leonard Nimoy finally shows up on the comedy. Nimoy, in fact, Tweeted @TheRealNimoy earlier today:

Spock on Big Bang Theory on 3/29. Stephen Hawking the following week. Logical.

The hilarious thing to those of us who watch the show is that Nimoy has never actually BEEN on the show, yet he has a restraining order against Jim Parson’s “Sheldon” character, who worships the very ground Nimoy/Spock walks on…whenever he’s in from outer space.

If you’ve never seen “Big Bang Theory” (and granted, it’s not for everyone), the early year re-runs on TBS are an outstanding way to start.

That is the funniest show I’ve seen in years. I just started watching this year because I always assumed from the title that it was a science show.

The sad thing is that I identify far too much with Sheldon’s idiosyncracies.

One of the funniest scenes of any show I can rememember is when Sheldon realizes the napkin he is holding (a X-mas gift) has a note written on it from Nimoy to Sheldon and that he wiped his mouth with it hence leaving his DNA on it, Sheldon’s joyous meltdown is priceless.

  3. Dr Alice says:

I adore Evil Wil Wheaton. This show has serious geek cred.

That’s my favorite episode. I can’t believe they’ll have Nimoy and Hawking in two episodes … my DVR will explode!

  5. Kate P says:

Look at you, fangirly. That should be a good episode–my sister got me hooked, and then I got my dad hooked. . . and now my dad swears when he goes to the gym he often sees a group of four guys closely resembling certain characters. And tries not to crack up every time.

  6. Rob says:

Our DVR is still on the hunt for episodes we haven’t seen from the first season.

To our utter and complete dismay, we are going to miss the Hawking episode’s debut. But we’ll get over it quickly, since it’s opening night at our brandy-new downtown stadium for our brandy-new Pensacola Blue Wahoos AA base-ah-bah-roo team!!! Woot! Woot!
