At 1:30 on the Video Tape

…you hear the screaming for help and then, “Whose voice was this?” The “audio expert” insisting the voice is NOT Zimmerman’s, telling the viewer:

“It is my conclusion to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty that that’s not the voice of George Zimmerman.

They then cut to Diane Sawyer to wrap up the segment and that’s the end of THAT. Oddly enough though, at the end of the written story whose link accompanies the broadcast video is this little disclaimer that NEVER MADE IT ON AIR:

Owen, the chair emeritus at the American Board of Record Evidence, was not able to determine if the voice was that of Martin, the Sentinel reports, because he did not have audio of the teen’s voice to compare to the shouts for help in the 911 call.

ABC just made sure that you knew he thought it wasn’t Zimmerman’s voice, even though ~ as Tom Maguire has pointed out repeatedly ~ no one’s ever compared the tape to Zimmerman’s actual voice screaming for help, either.

What a hack job.

When the riots start up in South Florida, the media will point to any fatalities as a consequence of racism in America gone wild, with the only hope for correcting the ship, being another 4 years of Obama.

Hey, it doesn’t have to make any sense. We’ve all seen evidence of that on a daily basis.

I’m no expert but that sounds like a man in distress, not a 17yr old. I believe there will be trouble if they don’t charge Zimmerman not that I think they should.

Hacks are what’s needed for hack jobs. And ABC News is full of hacks.

  4. Ebola says:

Under the law Zimmerman should have been arrested due to the wording of Florida Statute under 776.013(3) of Title XLVI:

A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.

Given there was plenty of evidence for self-defense on the original police report he had plenty of backing for self-defense, given his injuries and Martin’s lack there of. However, the Statute states simply that the person responding with deadly force must be assaulted first…as there have been no direct witnesses to the initial onset of conflict, it’s difficult to believe they didn’t arrest him on at least negligent homicide or the like. Usually standard procedure in A said B said cases like that. Sanford PD’s bungling of this combined with the media has effectively ended this man’s life, innocent or guilty.

Latest picture of the two is <a href="http://www.mileanhour.com/files/2012/4/trayvon-george.jpg"hysterical….

It appears that Tom Owens ain’t the audio expert that he claims to be.

    Color me unsurprised.

NBC isn’t sorry for what they did. They’re sorry they were caught doing it. I wonder if anyone will tweet the address of the producer’s parents?
