Ambassador Susan Rice: Libya Attack Not Premeditated
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi was not premeditated, directly contradicting top Libyan officials who say the attack was planned in advance.
“Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous – not a premeditated – response to what had transpired in Cairo,” Rice told me this morning on “This Week.”
“In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated,” Rice said, referring to protests in Egypt Tuesday over a film that depicts the Prophet Muhammad as a fraud. Protesters in Cairo breached the walls of the U.S. American Embassy, tearing apart an American flag.
“We believe that folks in Benghazi, a small number of people came to the embassy to – or to the consulate, rather, to replicate the sort of challenge that was posed in Cairo,” Rice said. “And then as that unfolded, it seems to have been hijacked, let us say, by some individual clusters of extremists who came with heavier weapons… And it then evolved from there.”
What a CONVENIENT explanation!
Gracious! I’ll bet that’s it exactly, because we ALL know Obama and Hilary ~ in their combined arrogance, supreme intellectual prowess and hubris ~ could never, EVER blow something completely out their asses.

And we all know that your average protestor in the Arab countries has RPGs and mortars at home, which he can conveniently bring to the protest to express his outrage over a film clip he’s never seen, or cartoons he’s never seen which were published in a language he can’t read. And secret safe houses are so well known that anybody can go to them to make an attack (well that part might be true, given the efficiency the CIA so often displays).
It takes real chutzpah and incompetence for an administration to excuse itself with lies so openly false that anybody who has been paying the slightest attention knows they are lies.
When you consider the quality of work displayed by his advisors and assistants, it’s no wonder that Obama thinks he’s better at their jobs than they are. He may be correct, though that doesn’t mean he’d be competent doing any of those jobs.
The voters need to hit the reset button in November.
It’s so stupid. They are so dedicated to protecting their illusory good reputations, they have no problem at all giving actual and concrete insults to everyone else’s intelligence.
I don’t want to hear a flipping word from these lefties about “irresponsible speech” when they are completely irresponsible people in word and deed… and for nothing more than to try to prop up their own egos.
What is it with liberals and evolution? They keep using that word. I do not think it means what they think it means.
