   Well, we have a system in place BlackDog wherein if on the EXTREMELY off chance that I *happen* to drop a food item Claude kindly cleans it up for me.

   Totally off topic. May they rest in peace.

   My mother’s funeral was today, and my Uncle was here – his daughter, a navy pilot, waited until AFTER the funeral to let him know she wasn’t there. (I suspect she knew he’d call if he’d heard.)

   My cousin wants to, someday, be an astronaut. I think she’ll be an excellent one.

   My mother’s favorite niece came to the funeral. But MY favorite cousin was too busy flying. And not crashing. I suspect she won’t – my uncle was one of those flyboys who thought the Arc de Triomphe was a great challenge. My cousin is a chip off the old block.

   And dammit. My mother died, yes, but she was 87. And sick and suffering. Time to go. As much as we mourn, sometimes, it’s time to go.
   But not them. Young and full of hope. DAMMIT. And my cousin was friends with them all. Pray for her, please.

   I heard that one had gone around Spokane, earlier today, but not what happened to the crew. My worst fears are realized.
