I don’t know how true it is, but I’ve always been told that pit bulls have a locking jaw, and that people training dogs to fight often hang the dog like that for hours. Because of the locking jaw, the dog can’t get down.

If this is more than urban legend, then the dog might be whining because he can’t get down.

    Google is your friend.

“I have spoken with [Dr.] Sandy deLahunta (the foremost dog neurologist in the country) and [DR.] Katherine Houpt (a leading dog behaviorist) about a jaw locking mechanism in pit bulls or any other dog and they both say, as do I, that there is NO SUCH THING AS “JAW LOCKING” IN ANY BREED.”

So I take back my last statement.

Locking jaws aside, that’s one determined dog – and that’s one ‘eff-y’all” branch. I think the tree won…

Skyler, I am so glad you have never Googled “Ebola eating major dad spare ribs”.

It would be a terrifying video. Pitbulls with lockjaws pale in comparison. The first word that springs to mind is “velociraptor”…actually, that gets used regularly.
