It’s worth remembering (well, if you’re a Yankees fan, at least) that they started the season playing pretty poorly: As late as May 7th their record was 13-15 and they were 5.5 games behind the 1st place…Toronto Blue Jays. When the season ended they were 103-59, 28 games ahead of them.
Order has returned to the universe.
