According to Radar, Irene Has Her Eye on Bingley…Literally
He texts it’s just windy and a couple of trees branches down, with power out. Whew. That’s great.
Looks to be lots of dry air intrained right behind the southeast center of circulation and that’s what next up over then. Great news.
I hope all of you who got to welcome old girl this weekend made out as well. What a spectacular storm. There is NO WAY the pressure should have been able to stay as low and Irene to stay as powerful as she did. She should have pooped out long ago.
Must have been the Irish in her.
Irish? Irene is a Greek name, babe!
Good news! No doubt Mr. B will be holding a celebratory barbeque.
Let me be the first to say it: Goodnighgt Irene!
Hope the affected members of Bingley Nation can checkin today. Hope everyone is safe with their proterty intact.
Got through very well in my area. Hoping Gary is all right… I think he’s in a lower-lying area, so flooding would be more of a concern. We lost power only briefly, and it’s back on right now.
Y’all get rain and wind, we get heat. Record heat 4 of the last 5 days. It’s as if it’s all interconnected or something.
The New York beisbol Yankees are playing right now in Baltimore so things are beginning to return to normal
A good sign.
Now down to a tropical storm – but still carrying LOTS of water.
I’ll second Yojimbo’s Goodnight Irene – hope she wimps out completely soon.

Well of course she would have her eye on Bingley, he’s a swell fellow (or so I’ve heard).
We did all right. The lights flickered several times and we had some tornado warnings here in Philly, but the power never went out. Lots of flooding, though.
Holy buckets what a storm! I send best wishes to all the folks affected and as Yojimbo said I’ll be watching for y’all to check in.
