He Shot A 25 On The Back Nine
Holy Crap. Look, I don’t care if it wasn’t a “real” Tour event. A Twenty-freakin-FIVE is an insane score
Some scorecards make you shake your head and think, “This can’t be true.” So you read it again, hole-by-hole, and then you shake your head again. That’s what I did after looking at what Jamie Kureluk did in the first round of the RBC Insurance Alberta Open Tuesday.
Twenty-five on the back nine. Is your head spinning yet? Kureluk, a pro at the Cottonwood Golf and Country Club in Calgary, shot 25 to shoot 61. He was two-over-par after four holes and 12-under for his last 10 holes. He was 11-under on the back nine alone. His back nine is by all accounts a competitive record.
…Kureluk’s back nine card went like this: Birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle.

Simply amazing. Well done, indeed sir!
