Awesome! There have also been lots of retweets of the iconic “Welcome to Florida – The Sunshine State” sign surrounded by snow.
Is this the end of days? I am beginning to wonder…
I’m starting to think it’s a 20 yr thing around here. In ’53, when The Grinch was going through flight school here, they got 4″, our Orkin man’s a native and he said there were a couple inches in ’73. During the 14 years we’ve been here, every three years or so, there’s been some sort of frozen precip, but nothing ever stuck in this southern part of the county. So lucky us!
The county, meanwhile, is paralysed and we just heard that I-10 is CLOSED from Pine Forest (Exit 7) to Holmes County (Exit 112). Now THAT’S an ice storm.
O. The. Horror.
Altho, closing I10 is impressive. If it’s iced, then yeah, that’s the thing to do. Hazardous at best, much more so if drivers don’t know what they’re doing.
Be safe and warm!
You can pour some Hendricks on the ground and have a Yardtini!
