Saturday Observation
There’s something very amusing about watching folks today spend a lot of time and effort to rake the leaves on their lawns in to nice neat piles…all the while knowing that we have a Hurricane heading our way.

My previous house was on a corner lot with no fence. I never raked leaves. After one or two good windy days the leaves would magically disappear. Damnedest thing I ever saw.
Most amusing.
I think your time would be better spent cooking, so that fresh food won’t spoil when the power goes out.
Jeff I’m stratagerically dividing portions to various coolers and planning for the power outage cooking!
Heh – we get that a lot down here. Breezy area. Just watching people sweep off their driveways as the wind blows more leaves on…and they never learn. Maybe just as well – good exercise there…
P.S. As in David’s case… those who wait a day or two will find all leaves magically disappearing. (It’s one of those gated-communities with people who do such things…so not witchery here – lol.)
