Yes, the jobs number was better than expected, which is always a good thing, but what troubles me is this
The unemployment rate dipped to 9.1 percent from 9.2 percent in June, but this was mostly the result of people leaving the labor force.
Not good.

Ahh, but this is the only the first version. Wait ’til we get the ‘revised’ (read ‘real’) numbers in a month or so.
Cue up “Highway to the Danger Zone.”
We actually had fewer people employed in July as we did in June. Using the labor participation rate of Obama’s first month in office would yield an unemployment rate over 11 percent.
