We Taught Them Too Well

Some of those 35 poor traumatized Canadians who ran away and left a guy to be butchered on a bus two years ago have decided that they’re the victims

WINNIPEG — Two women are suing Greyhound, the RCMP, the Government of Canada and Vince Li — the man who beheaded and cannibalized 22-year-old Tim McLean in rural Manitoba two years ago aboard a Winnipeg-bound bus — reportedly over trauma suffered as a result of witnessing the violent attack.

A court official with the Manitoba Court of Queen’s bench confirmed that two separate lawsuits each seeking $3 million in damages from the defendents were filed Wednesday in Winnipeg.

The plaintiffs named in the statements of claim are Debra Tucker and Kayli Shaw, two passengers who were aboard the Greyhound bus near Portage La Prairie, Man., on July 30, 2008, when Li slashed fellow passenger McLean’s throat with a knife before beheading him.

Pathetic.

JESUS.H.CHRIST. Just disgusting and, as you said, pathetic. It’s called remorse for NOT helping a fellow human being. You don’t get paid for that, you suffer the consequences of your actions, or lack of.

These poor women are suffering from Post-Traumatic Wimp Disorder so someone’s got to pay.

O.M.G. You HAD to start this, didn’t you?

Here we go again. Another 500, “Oh, ALL you FUCKING AMERICANS think you’re FUCKING JOHN WAYNE” comment thread, as they try to make excuses for fucking skittering off the fucking bus like fucking rats.

(Good heavens, but I AM insensitive.)

I’ve just gotten out of therapy from the last time. Will ObamaCare pay for this round, at least?

I think that story is the very definition of “WTF”?

Being Canadian, those brave souls will win double indemnity, just to be safe.

Me, I can’t decide which is more pathetic — these two women (who clearly need to be clapped in a mental institution), or the lawyers who actually filed the law suits.

Suing Greyhound? For what? Suing the Mounties? For what, not being on the bus? If I’m the victim’s family I’m suing all the chicken shit passengers that did nothing to help the victim. WTF, have these people no shame? Stupid question I know.

Oh, I remember *that* comment thread. The only thing that came close was the passing mention of the Chicoms that brought half the Middle Kingdom in here to jabber at you.

I’m ambivalent about the flight of the other passengers – they call it “fight or flight” for a reason and in a general panic, it becomes challenging to head in the other direction, TOWARD the insane shit going down.

IOW – running may be understandable, but to SUE other people BECAUSE you ran? If you’ve really got that kind of stones, you should have used them on the day, when it would have made a difference.
