20 elderly folks killed when the bus they were in caught fire.
Tragic.
UPDATE: Oh man, it seems the situation went from fire to explosion by virtue of the oxygen tanks exploding that the seniors had with them.
Early indications were that the bus caught fire because of mechanical problems, possibly overheated brakes, then passengers’ oxygen tanks started exploding, he said.

From a national safety standpoint, just how easy is it to detonate an oxygen tank?
Well, I would imagine it’s not the tank per se that’s the problem but the soft flexible hoses that are attached to the folks’ noses. Once an open flame gets near that they’d be a huge flare up and then the tank would go, literally fanning and feeding the flames expotentially.
Ban oxygen!
