“A Good Thing Because There’s Just BILLIONS of Pounds Sitting in People’s Pension Funds Just Looking For a Safe Home to Invest”

Now THERE’S a statement to strike fear into the hearts of the most stalwart of men considering the worst of times we live in, right-o?

Apparently not.

For whatever reason, British Prime Minister David Cameron’s government has seen fit/pulled the magicmoneyrabbit out the hat to follow through on a Labour Party $3BILLION promise of launching a…Green Bank. So strap yourself into your unicorn saddle and launch at the third pot o’ gold to your right. Nope! My bad. Left, it’s always left.

They even take a moment to shout out snidely that …”British campaigners seem to be doing so well, perhaps we should ask them to have a word with the GOP on their climate antics too…

Jeez. They’re so CUTE when they’re happy!

It’s easy on other people’s money. I’d be smiling, too.

UPDATE: Well, dagnabbit. Cameron should’ve read Salon. Or at least glanced at Instapundit in the afternoon like the rest of us. Coulda saved a buttload.

Seizing people’s money out of their banks, without their consent, has a name: robbery. You used to need a gun and mask to be able to pull it off. It is completely repugnant that a government would get it into its collective empty skull to rob a bank via the law, and I’m ashamed that modern civilization would stoop to such measures – and for nothing more than a fad, a crackpot scheme.

This would be like Benjamin Disraeli’s Parliament confiscating money to fund phrenology research.

The British government is now a kleptocracy.
