A Note to the Islamic Apologists in the Blogosphere

If you must use examples during your fretful arguments to cast the Catholic Church in the worst light possible and blame it for all the world’s ills, stick to this century ~ Pope Pius, child predators, etc.
When all else invariably and inevitably fails (alas, including logic) and all tangents lead not to Rome…

“but Catholics had the Inquisition

…is NOT the default choice.

On a lighter Inquisition historical note ~ Torquemada died today in 1498.

    …NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Muslims Offended by an Inconvenient Truth

?Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.?

The Muslim conquest of South Asia, starting with the invasion of India and extending down the Malay Peninsula to Indonesia and Boreno was like one, big, long, extended, Inquisition…

The biggest difference being that if the Catholic Church had tried to pull that rubbish any time after the success of the Reformation over about the last three hundred years, nobody would have tolerated it and they would have crumbled. Most Christian churches have reformed over time to stay somewhat apace of social evolution.
No more of this from the “but THEY used to do it” morons, when the bigger picture clearly shows that they’re not doing it any more.

  5. I wondered if the French could blame everything since on Henry the Fifth crossing the Channel and ruining their day?
Lord knows they could use an excuse.

Agreed, sister. The fact that Catholics had the Inquisition (and Protestants were burning witches) centuries ago, doesn’t excuse Islamic barbarism in the 21st century, when most Christians have faced their religious history, identified its mistakes, and determined to do better. When is Islam going to do the same? Ever?

Whats the difference between the Inquisition and the English Court of the Star Chamber both in purpose and manner of Operation?.
Modern Research into the actual Inquisition documents show that it was far more just and far less bloodthirsty than other similar State sponsored
Courts during the period of its existence.
