A Programming Note

I’m sure this will depress all of you greatly but I must inform you that posts will be somewhat fewer over the next few days.

Daughter is graduating (looking forward to her full-ride at San Quentin State) and THS (and Ave and the odd grandfather or two (emphasis on the odd, btw)) are all currently inbound, so…enjoy life and the peace and quiet, Dear Readers.

And if you hear excessive noise or see large flashes at night down the Shore just ignore them.

Best of luck to her. Hope she gets a job at the laundry and her parole officer likes her.

It’s just me and the dogs till Monday, what’s a guy to do?

  3. JeffS says:

Outstanding! Congratulations to the young lady! And to her lucky parents, of course.

Major Dad — you mean you aren’t already planning a major party for you and your friends?

  4. Kate P says:

Congrats to your daughter–I hope the library becomes one of her fave places when she goes there. 🙂

I hope you all have fun getting together! (Um, enjoy the peace, Major Dad?)

  5. JeffS says:

It occurs to me, Major Dad, you could always have Vienna sausages for every meal!

And send a case to The Daughter, along with a box of toothpicks and dipping sauce. She’ll want snacks that she can keep in the dorm room………

Congrats and have a great time.

And enjoy the odd. There’s nothing more fun (nor a better source of later tales) than a gathering of family eccentrics. Believe me, I have my share of odd relatives and friends. And I love every last one of them (even the annoying ones).

  11. Kathy Kinsley says:

And thanks for the “down the Shore” nostalgia. I grew up in your neck of the woods, even if I had the sense to move to THS’s later in life. 😛

  12. Kathy Kinsley says:

Oh – and just because I want to tempt you to blog (via Insty)…

    New Jersey Wines. 😀

  13. Mr. Bingley says:

    Interesting stuff, Kathy!

  14. Dan Collins says:

    Much congratulation to all!
