We already have them. They’re called laws. Even on the field there’s rules and referees and coaching staffs. But none of those will supply one with the huevos to actually enforce them at one’s own expense.
Gee, Diptera. I was thinking the same thing. So that makes two of us. It’s ludicrous that the NCAA has to tell schools “you know, those guys really shouldn’t be doing that out there…Let’s talk it out.”
Maybe we should just bring back gladiator games, and not worry about laws in the stadium, eh?
Agreed, Sis – but what choice do they have when the team, school, and conference successively decide to take a pass? Oh, wow, you can’t play against the Duke football team, a-boo-hoo-hoo.
Not to be all Skip Bayless here, but University of Miami President Diptera would forfeit the remaining schedule. Let them cry. Let them fire me. This sort of thing has been brewing for a while (as Lamar Thomas’ crowing in the booth demonstrates). If it has that serious a repurcussion, maybe it will stop happening.
