And The Worst Tourists Are…
French tourists are the worst in the world, coming across as penny-pinching, rude and terrible at languages, according to a new survey.
The study by travel company Expedia asked 4,500 hotels worldwide to rank tourists on their behaviour.
But the competition was fierce
France’s rivals for the world’s “worst tourist” tag, Spaniards and Greeks, came near the bottom of the pack in almost every category.
Well, my invitation to a certain french couple still stands.
I’m big that way.

P.J. O’Rourke once hilariously ripped on foreign (i.e., non American tourists) in, I think Holidays in Hell. One of the most memorable bits, to me, was his observation that Germany is where Israelis learned their manners. Then he asked, metaphorically, what else would be a thirty year old heterosexual male holding a purse and wearing a bikini brief and Mickey Mouse shirt but a French tourist.
Bloody French.
