Fresh fighting erupted in Tripoli on Tuesday hours after Muammar Qaddafi’s son turned up free to thwart Libyan rebel claims he had been captured, a move that seems to have energized forces still loyal to the embattled regime.

“Days, not weeks”? Mummy’s sons IN custody, then out and available for interviews?

And I’ll bet the Present had his Mr DeMille/Mission Accomplished All By Me make-up spackled on and ready to go for that victory lap/teleprompter speech.

    Don’t be surprised if this gets real ugly. Even if Q-ball falls I think there will be a void that many will try to fill leading to a lot of bloodshed.

    Oh don’t be such nattering nebobs of negativity. I’m sure the State Department has the correct Libyan translation for “reset button”. If all else fails, they have CNN, it worked so well for them in Egypt.

    How can you doubt an administration that calls for the ouster of a head of state without the slightest idea of who will replace him?
