The reading of the Constitution should have been followed with impeachment (and tarring and feathering) of the oath-breakers who’ve been wittingly violating the Constitution in terms past and the shuffling off to Political Nursing Facilities of those who just didn’t KNOW they were violating the Constitution (“Here, dearie, let me cast that vote FOR you… “).
I’d be happy to have the Constitution read every single time the House met (and gladder to have the Senate, or even most senators, read it for the first time, at least).

I’m all for an amendment to the Constitution that applies criminal sanctions for any legislator proposing to offer a bill that violates the Constitution.
