I Find His Track of Faith

“If what’s said in that letter reflects the councilman’s views, those are disturbing remarks in this day and age,” Graham said. “Maybe they wouldn’t have been disturbing 500 years ago, but they are now.

So what did the Rev. and Watertown City Councilman Timothy LaBouf do that disturbs so many?

The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on August 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men. She had taught there for 54 years.
The letter quoted the first epistle to Timothy: “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

I can think of someone else who ought to stuff a sock puppet in it…

Pretty sad when they can’t read the rest of the thing. They grab the one scripture that supports what they want/need. Sheesh….. We are SBC and have plenty of women teaching. Seems there may be more at play here than just the fact she’s a she.

So, did these morons reach their interpretation before of after drinking two fifths of Jack Daniels for breakfast?
