   We still have some fine young Americans. I’m glad some of them become Marines.

   When I was in High School in the 60s they had ‘Rifle Club’
   in the basement of the school.
   Bring a rifle to school and target practice.Can you imagine that now?

   We had a gun range for the ROTC cadets at Illinois Institute of Technology during the 70s. And we also had a campus bar (The Bog). We were so politically incorrect that during blood drives, the organization that got the highest % of members, won a keg of beer. Needless to say the AFROTC, NROTC, several fraternities & sororities produced well over 100% participation. Of course the school was located in Mayor Daleys neighborhood.

   Yes,Black Dog those days are gone.I once heard Merle Haggard say he had more freedom while on
   parole from San Quentin in the 60s than law abiding citizens have nowadays.
