It’s Gov. Christie

I hope someone gave The One a call to let him know because I hear he wasn’t watching the returns; heck, I can understand him not being overly concerned, as he’s only been here stumping for Corzine four times in the last few months (most recently Sunday where in an act of benevolent kindness he managed to shut down the Turnpike while hundreds of thousands of people were trying to get out of NYC after the Marathon).

I’m very very glad Corzine is gone. He was a complete disaster who advanced us well on the road to California. I hope Christie concentrates his efforts on reeling in the massive increase in government spending. Sure, it’s great that what focus his campaign had was on cutting taxes but the huge huge problem in NJ is the out-of-control government spending. He needs to seriously slash it, and in very clear terms present a budget to the Legislature that scales back the excesses and allows for the reduced taxes to start re-invigorating the economy. Put that to the Legislature, force them to take a stand on it ahead of next year’s elections and face the (hopeful) consequences.

I hope that he stays moderate on ‘social issues’ and keeps the focus on the conservative economic solutions: less spending, less intrusion into peoples’ lives, less regulation.

Abortion didn’t screw our economy.

Gay marriage didn’t screw our economy.

Ignore those issues.

  4. Congrats, NJ!

Of course, naturally, my own district chose yet another far left career pol who never held an honest job in his life.

Sorry Ken. But I must admit, it still doesn’t erase my giddiness. I hi-fived my father-in-law; I think I may have hi-fived the dog and a rooster-shaped cookie jar as well.
