Just for Sir Rob of Crab Lane, Appleton:

In the absence of sacrificial poultry, the major and I have stuffed ourselves full of Louisiana’s finest

…to assist (in spirit) the efforts of your favorite team

…no sacrifice being too great for a friend.
I hope the juju is good.

    Yum. Popeyes.
And we’re cheering for the Bayou Bengals, too! I’d never thought I’d cheer AGAINST a Big Ten teams, but how I hate Ohio State. Ack.

  2. Rob says:

    Thanks, ths.
    GEAUX Tigers.
And, you, Lisa … we’ll see your Razorbacks next year in Fayetteville or Little Rock or Fort Smith or somewhere up there. No McFadden this time, please. 🙂

    Looks like the magic worked!

I think y’all saw the last of DMac on Saturdays, Rob.

Just watch – DMac will slip a few spots and the Patriots will pick him up, score 700 points next season, go 29-0 and win not only the Super Bowl, but retroactively be awarded the Super Bowl for 2000 (the Ravens? Riiiight).

Last I heard, with SF’s pick-now-owned-by-NE had slipped a bit, there’s a chance Dallas might have the opportunity to get him. That’s even worse than NE!
Anywhere but Dallas, NE, or Green Bay, and I’ll be happy.

  7. Rob says:

Good to know, Lisa. He’s a great player and the Tigers mostly had good luck against his team except the last time. The last time he played the Tigers, he ALMOST cost them a National Championship. 🙂
He’s not slipping. He and Glenn Dorsey are going 1-2.

One other thing about DMac, Lisa: I think the Tigers problems with him stem from playing him in Fridays, not Saturdays. He is merely a great player on Saturdays. He’s Superman on Fridays. Still, it’s been fun seeing that guy play every year even though I closed my eyes most of the time when he had the ball. 🙂 He was robbed for the Heisman.
