Just Horrific Footage
Via Kae, I just can not imagine the horror of this.
Watch the first 30 seconds closely and keep the landmarks in mind…the height of the pink building in the foreground…the height of the gray building on the left…and the man on its roof
Horror, just plain horror.
Imagine a ball about a yard in diameter. That’s one ton of water. The scale of water’s destruction defies words.
Just linked to you. Uneffingbelievable!
Thanks George!
This makes me very happy I live around 200′ above sea level…
Good Lord.
I was so upset watching I had to turn it off.
Oh, dear God…words cannot convey…
I think the report that most gutted me was that Japan Railways could not account for three passenger trains. Having rode the trains in South Korea (a lot) and in Japan (a few times), that just connected with me for some reason.
I know, David; it’s, well, beyond words. As someone who for many years commuted by the Jersey Coast Line into Manhattan, where there are sections by South Amboy where the tracks are perhaps 20 feet from the ocean (and maybe 3 feet above) that hit me as well. And we’ve heard nothing about whether they’ve found those trains yet.
Dear God, those images and sounds are just… numbingly terrible. RIP
I can’t imagine what those folks went through, and are going through, Clive. They need our help.
