So I thought I’d expand and update her premise, since we technically haven’t been “in” Iraq for over a year, and go with Chicago murders for 2012 versus American deaths during the same time at war in Afghanistan:

American Casualties by Year Through December 6, 2012: 306

Chicago this week ended 2012 with: 513 homicides

Rahm’s gun-free Chicago wins.

   The liberal answer is always the same: when liberal policies do not work, the reason is that there’s not enough of them. So the Chicago response will be that the gun laws are too loose there same as saying that because since the 60’s poverty has gone up that we need more wars on poverty. Ditto drug wars or other wars against personal freedom and dignity.
