Let’s Play “Tit…

…for Tat”, shall we? You knew this was coming.

China says it has found problems with U.S. soybean exports
This time, China says tainted products are coming from the other side of the Pacific.
After China’s export credibility was battered with recall after recall, China is now saying it’s found pesticides, poisonous weeds and dirt in shipments of imported U.S. soybeans.

Yawn.

  1. You evil tease. You got me interested with a great headline and it devolves into some dopey political stuff.
    sniff

  2. Gunslinger says:

Fine then. The next shipment of our soybeans will be drenched in powdered lead.
It’s long past time to revoke their favored trade status.

  3. mojo says:

“See? We fix! You buy now!”

  4. Gunslinger says:

    Guess what?

    China’s at it again!

  5. You know, Gunny, I saw that earlier and could only think “WHO recycles USED chopsticks in the first place?”

  6. Actually, I’m surprised Sheryl “One Sheet” Crowe’s name didn’t come up in association with this.
“Fifty BILLION Chinese can save a lotta chopsticks with a little recycling!”

  7. nightfly says:

Crow’s first suggestion was less than helpful – use only one chopstick.

  8. ricki says:

Yeah, gotta look out for that dangerous “dirt.” Because, you know, soil is SO MUCH MORE DANGEROUS than, I don’t know, lead in paint or melamine in food additives.
And as for the “poisonous weeds” – considering that most of the real baddie weed species are not native to the U.S. and originally came from Eurasia, I don’t think they have anything to complain about.
Maybe we need to learn how to make toys out of soybeans – then that would solve two problems right there.
