Monsters Among Us

Remember the Law and Order episode? Real life is creepier…and far more evil. And now she’s on the streets again.

  1. Mr. Bingley says:

    Oh my god, how horrid.
And she did this several times.

  2. Free as the proverbial bird. I’m thinking a shrike.

They are also known by the name “butcher bird” because of their habit of impaling their victims on thorns or barbed wire before dining.
What makes the shrike unusual is its specialized feeding behaviour. After killing its prey, the shrike sometimes stores its catch on thorns or barbed wire where it can easily tear the food apart. If you come across a small creature impaled in this way, there
may be a shrike in the neighbourhood!

The obscenity is that she got only 12 years, but apparently she served the time so I don’t think the judge could have done much else, nor should he.
I strongly suspect, however, that there would never be a conviction if someone were to do something about it.

I’m not so sure in Canada, Ken. If someone did anything to her now, I have a feeling they would get more than 12 years for it.

  5. Ken Summers says:

Only if Canadians truly think it’s worse to kill a murderer than an innocent person. But you never know.

    One can hope.

  7. Dave J says:

The prosecutors that allowed her to plead to MANSLAUGHTER for her unbelievably horrible crimes should be shot. Her testimony wasn’t even needed to convict her husband, as it was all on videotape.
And Ken, my first impression was that the judge didn’t have much room, either, but the more I look into it, the less I suspect that’s actually true.
