So of course it’s just a coincidence that Obama’s visiting Ground Zero today…for the first time since being elected.

    In general I agree with the principle… but there’s one problem with this approach in this situation. People will begin to suspect that there isn’t a football.

    They should have taken the body in and done a full forensic workup and then dumped his ass in the ocean. I’m not quite sure how you do a DNA match in less than 20 minutes and it’s not like there aren’t a bunch of Bin Ladens out there. BTW, that was a major screwup losing that H-60.

    Jeff, he did lay a wreath there; he didn’t give a speech. As far as I know he never planned to give a speech, either.

    No, he didn’t. And quietly laying a wreath is not his normal OPS but is quite appropriate.

    One might hope he’s acquired some humility, but I suspect it’s more likely his advisors have.

    Maybe he was too busy filming next years campaign commercials. He brought a photographer and a videographer to his meeting with selected 9/11 families today. They recorded every hug and smile he handed out.
