Reuters) – Seven Marines were killed and seven others were wounded in an explosion that occurred during a training exercise at a military facility in western Nevada, a military spokesman said on Tuesday.
The blast at Hawthorne Army Depot, a military ammunition storage facility, took place late Monday during a Marine training exercise.

My heart goes out to the families and all those involved in this terrible situation.

BUT… This shouldn’t have happened. Someone BETTER be investigating. Because someone messed up big time.
And, no, I don’t care if that’s what the left is saying. Because it’s true. Yes, sometimes recruits die because of some genetic thing about heat or stress or whatever.
But 7 killed and 7 more wounded in an explosion? It was either serious negligence or sabotage. Sorry.
More bad news. An eighth Marine had died from his wounds.

A mortar round going off in the tube is very rare but it happens. Seriously doubt it was sabotage. Firing off mortars is very routine, I’m thinking a bad round.
