Ron Paul is “Suspending Active Campaigning”

Whatever that means. “Throwing in the towel less than gracefully”, I think.

Someone on Twitter thinks he’ll just return to The Shire and tell stories of his adventures, while the millions of nasally challenged voices of his supporters cry out and are suddenly silenced. Mostly.

I think loons always look for the next reason to put on the tinfoil, you know?

And they tend to find each other during the quest.

Ron Paul sells a very tasty snake oil elixir — I know quite a few (otherwise intelligent) people who think he’s The New Messiah, or something like that. They’re quite upset he isn’t winning primaries, and are considering writing him in come November.

Ummmmm, hello? He didn’t win enough delegates in the primaries. What part of “HE LOST” is not sinking in? Don’t be wasting your vote on a write in candidate. If I thought it would help, I’d write in “Sarah Palin”. But it won’t, so I won’t.

Sadly, I can get along with 80% of what he says. The last 20% tells me he’s either a genuine lunatic or a first class scam artist.

    Or both.

Ron Paul is dishonest. He won’t take responsibility for messages coming out on Twitter, etc. under his own name. That shows a lack of integrity in my view. I also agree with some (not all) of his positions, but I can say that about almost any politician, even Bernie Sanders.

He’s popular with college students, who have somehow failed to grasp that if Paul’s economic policies were ever put into place, there would be no more federal aid for college. That may or may not be a bad thing, but it would probably mean that the majority of the students supporting him would not be able to attend school. (Again, that may or may not be a bad thing–although it would probably put me out of a job.)

Isn’t Paul ‘grandfathered’ out of the requirement to distribute funds raised to other candidates?

  4. aelfheld says:

NJSue, forget Twitter, he won’t take responsibility for articles published over his name in a magazine he published.

  5. JeffS says:

Oh, he is certainly dishonest, Sue. I just can’t tell if the cause is moral turpitude or mental health.

Either way, I wish he would go away. And stay away; his snake oil is ruining minds with much potential.

He’s a leader in pork-barrel spending and is yet…against it? How curious. He voted for PL 107-40, which essentially eliminates any checks and balances as long as the Executive Branch labels it terrorist(or related). This from a man that raves about the Constitution while happily cherry picking it. He has said repeatedly that his first act in office would be to order all troops, all overseas troops, home. He voted affirmative to sending us into Afghanistan and then immediately voted against every single funding bill to make sure my brothers and sisters in arms were well armed. Peace my ass. This son of a bitch is for leaving ever ally we have to be overrun and leave our shipping incapable of being protected.

    Fuck Ron Paul.

  7. JeffS says:

I won’t argue with that, Ebola. Not at all.

Suspending active campaigning must have turned off the juice to the Paulbots… none of them are trolling the thread.
