…and NOTHING to watch but the Firecracker 400. I have hours of listening to Darrell Waltrip ahead of me. On a lighter note, their salute to America’s military was inspiring and hilarious. They had all the Homestead Air Force Base boys out there for the pre-race, National Anthem ceremony. I’m here to report they didn’t let me and major dad down. In their honor, I’d like to repost a classic.

I started T Stewart (Currently 2nd), E Sadler (Currently 3rd), B Vickers (Currently 10th), and R Sorenson (Currently 29th) tonight and I’d also like to say that the almost all-pay NASCAR.COM totally sucks.

You can tell the cartoonist was a Marine. That soldier’s out of regs with those Jarhead sleeves.

BUAWHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I remember this cartoon…..I passed it around the section back in Kuwait, which included all services (‘cept the coasties). The Air Force guys were mostly unappreciative of my humor, but one captain thereafter saluted me just like the cartoon.
Honest to God, Jeff ~ the one goober looked like he was holding his temple because of a migraine. It was THAT sorry.
And Rob, they had me right up to where Jeff got wrecked. Pffft.
Well, I have to admit, I’ve seen some sorry drill & ceremony from Army troops. But the zoomies do have a certain lack of talent in that area, I must admit.
And I’m assuming that you mean “Jeff GORDON got wrecked”, since I spent Saturday with a friend, and not racing in Florida.
Well, anyone’s going to have sorry D&C w/out practice. The Marines here are pitiful.
Strangely enough, I always found that the air wing Marines could troop and stomp much better than the division Marines.
