Local family’s emergency trip to hospital interrupted by demonstrators

…”I looked up and I see all the protesters, they’re everywhere,” said Georgia, who asked that her last name not be used. “So, we got into the traffic and they’re stopping us and not letting us go.”

Georgia was on her way to Texas Children’s Hospital in the Medical Center because her 7-year-old granddaughter was having an allergic reaction to some medication.

Georgia’s daughter was driving and tried to go around the demonstrators by driving on the grassy shoulder.

“One of them was hitting the windshield and I was just screaming, ‘We’ve got to get to the hospital,’ and they were screaming and chanting,” she said. “All I could think of was, I got to get my granddaughter to the hospital.”

“My mom rolled down the window,” said Georgia’s daughter. “She said, ‘We’re trying to get my granddaughter to the hospital,’ and a guy just started hitting her.”…

To quote a former presidential candidate in his FINEST movie role, as Admiral Josh Painter:

This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it.

And we’ll have OUR President to thank for it.

What they say at the end of the report explains it all in two words: Quanell X, our local hate-monger. This is a direct quote from the mid-90s: “If you feel that you just got to mug somebody because of your hurt and your pain, go to River Oaks and mug you some good white folks. If you’re angry that our brother is put to death, don’t burn down your own community, give these white folks hell from the womb to the tomb.” Yeah, that explains a LOT about this protest.

A pity the motorists didn’t take a cue from the Blues Brothers and treat the crowd like Illinois Nazis.

I’m wondering what this report aired on the local stations will do for peace in the community, Julie… Folks that mighta let it fly and settle down not may not be so obliging now, you know?

  4. Julie says:

Sis, I think Don Henley said it best: “I make my living off the Evening News/Just give me something-something I can use….” The news stations don’t care about the ramifications, they just want to fill airtime, and (what a coincidence) Quanell wants publicity. A marriage made in hell.

Calling them savages gives them too much credit.
