I love him too, but I fear a VP run, win or lose, will ruin his career.

He’ll be POTUS someday. But he should NOT be VP.

Being VP with Mittens is a death knell. I have an extremely difficult time seeing him successful as POTUS. Mittens, not Rubio, Rubio would rock it.

  5. Gary from Jersey says:

He can’t be POTUS. Parents weren’t born here. Oh, wait…

It would be interesting had the SCOTUS sent the bill back to Congress for a revote on the basis that the previously called penalty be changed to a tax then see how many Dem members would vote for it. Methinks the numbers would habe vastly changed, which is why Roberts opinion is so wrong.

Mine too, THS, and I share the sentiment.

  8. Greg Newsom says:

Roberts, isn’t he guy that got the Presidential oath wrong when Obama was sworn in?
It was an omen for the future.
Also,Obama didn’t correct Roberts’ mistake.Sort of the blind leading the pompous blind.

  9. Ebola says:

Syd, what I found interesting is that the ruling was ever passed in the form it is. In the course of a few pages it states the individual mandate couldn’t be blocked by the Anti-Injuction Act, as a penalty it is an illegal excise of the Commerce Clause and it is legal as a tax. So if it’s legal as a tax, how is it not ended or retreaded for the courts shortly after it’s enactment due to the fact that the AIA should have automatically stopped further pursuant jurisdiction on the matter?

  10. Greg Newsom says:

The Court doesn’t rule on the law, they merely give their philosophy of government.I saw an interview with Justice Breyer where he said he tried to twist the Constitution to fit his opinions. He didn’t exactly say that, but I
got the impression that’s what he meant.
